Unlocking the PACER Paywall

The Center for Information Technology Policy at Princeton has just launched a new Firefox extension called RECAP that allows PACER users to help build an open repository of public court records (if you don’t use PACER, there is no reason to install this extension). Thanks for this post. PACER is the system for the Federal Courts, right?

Yes, PACER is managed by the Administrative Office of the United States Courts and provides public access to federal court documents.
